Two nurses at Notre Dame Senior School in Cobham have been named runners-up at the Migraine Heroes Healthcare Awards this month.
Katharine Utchanah and Nicky De Vizia were nominated for the award by Notre Dame pupil Holly King, 15, from Walton, who began to suffer severe and debilitating migraines last year. She nominated the nurses for their tremendous support, help and understanding.
The pair were presented with a trophy, certificate and educational bursary at an awards lunch in London on Monday, September 7. The lunch coincided with Migraine Awareness Week, set up by charity Migraine Action.
