Teenagers from Wallington High School for Girls held their own version of the Race for Life.

The girls, dressed in pink, braved the burning heat on Wednesday, July 17, to take part in the event they called “Race at Your Pace”.

The girls could walk, skip and even Zumba their way around the school field in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

That evening the school also held their first ever sports awards ceremony marking the girls’ sporting achievements throughout the year.
