A commemorative diamond jubilee stone was laid on Monday, paid for by a former member of the Putney Society.
The stone was unveiled opposite St Mary's Church in Church Square, Putney, with members of the group and the deputy mayor taking part.
It was paid by Putney Society member Anthony Seton Jones who left a donation in his will, the first former member to leave money to the group in this way.
Members of Mr Seton Jones' family attended the ceremony.
The slab includes the image of a swan and reads "Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee June 2012, placed by the Putney Society."
Wandsworth Council was the first authority in the UK to offer people the chance to mark the Diamond Jubilee with the special paving stones.
A number of residents have taken the offer, with other stones being located in Festing Road, Putney and in Furzedown.
