Another example of Banksy-style guerrilla graffiti has appeared in Wandsworth.

The image appeared over the August bank holiday weekend in Brussels Road, Battersea, close to St Pauls Church.

It shows a girl hanging from a plank of wood in a Victorian style dress with the slogan "Hangin' Again."

Barry Andrews, who lives in the road and spotted the artwork, said: "It might be the same artist. Wish we could have a child with balloons rather than a hanging."

On August 18 similar artwork appeared on the wall of a block of flats in Old Swan Wharf, Battersea Church Road, Battersea.

It showed an image of a girl carrying swords with her hair in pigtails.

If the images are by Banksy they could fetch more than £100,000 at an auction and draw tourism from art fans.

The Bristol street artist has a reputation for creating satirical images in a stencil style and has also turned his hand to making films.

A council spokesperson said: “If the land owner asks us to remove this graffiti then we will do so. It is entirely their choice.

“The council offers a free graffiti removal service to all residents and businesses in the borough.”
