A business development day is taking place to help companies who need a boost.

Sutton’s Chamber of Commerce is offering a business support event for companies wanting to increase their efficiency, profitability or expand their turnover and customer base.

The event which is run with the Best of Sutton and Sutton Council will take place on Wednesday, September 26 at the Holiday Inn, Sutton.

There will be two sessions, one running from 8am starting with a networking breakfast, and the second from 12pm starting with a buffet lunch.

The programme for the day is a mix of one to one business advice on individual business challenges, and high profile speakers on business topics.

David Duncan, chairman of Sutton Chamber of Commerce said: "In the past, the London borough of Sutton was not considered a business hub but more of a commuter belt.

"However, recently it was discovered that there is large percentage of businesses that operate from home and serviced offices."

The chamber said the event would showcase local business specialists and provide a good networking for such businesses.

Typical subject matters to be covered will include marketing, social media, finance, planning and legislative matters.

The event is designed for both young and mature businesses of up to fifty employees, as well as entrepreneurs and sole traders.

The chamber promises inspirational speakers, advice from at least 20 business advisors, and networking.

Sutton Chamber and Sutton Guardian are inviting delegates to review the program and register at Suttonchamber.co.uk.
