A man had his £695 watch stolen when he was attacked as he walked home after watching England's Euro 2012 defeat to Italy.

The 30-year-old was attacked from behind by up to three men at about 11.15pm on Sunday, June 24, in Mayfield Road, Sutton.

He had walked through the Manor Park area, past the B&Q store, on the way home from a friend’s house where he had watched the quarter final clash.

He was pulled face down on the pavement. His watch was grabbed from his wrist, and two or possibly three men, ran off towards The Ridgway.

The watch is a men’s Gucci watch with a black face with four diamonds encrusted on the face marking the quarter hours, and a silver bracelet.

Police want to speak to man, described as 28 years of age, 6ft tall, with blond, short spiky hair, wearing jeans and blue Lacoste trainers, who was seen walking past the victim before he was attacked.
