A jazz bar is launching a special season of previews for a well-renowned Scottish comedy gala.
The Hideaway in Empire Mews will host ‘The Streatham Fringe’ throughout June and July in the run-up to the Edinburgh Festival.
Highlights include TV comedienne Dana Alexander, a regular on BBC Three’s Russell Howard’s Good News, who will be performing ‘Breaking Through’, and Andrew Lawrence, who has toured with popular funny man Michael McIntyre.
Organiser Erich McElroy said: “This is an amazing opportunity for comedy fans to get to see a preview of the best Fringe shows at Edinburgh at least a month before the festival.
“There’s been a very strong response to our other weekly comedy events in Streatham and we are looking to run the “Streatham Fringe” on an annual basis.”
The shows, which run from June 7 until July 26, cost £7 for advanced entry and £9 on the door.
