A pair of siblings are hoping their band will find a place in the history books following the release of their debut album.

Stoke-on-Trent quartet, All the Young, are renowned for their incendiary live shows following performances with Kaiser Chiefs, the Courteneers, the Wombats, Hard-Fi and the Pigeon Detectives.

Drummer Will Heaney, guitarist David Cartwright and the Dooley brothers – frontman Ryan and bassist Jack will be headlining in Kingston as part of their summer tour to promote their album called Welcome Home.

Produced by Garth “GGGarth” Richardson, who has worked with the likes of Biffy Clyro and Red Hot Chili Peppers and mixed by Rich Costey, who crafted the songs of Muse and My Chemical Romance, the band said the album promises a sense of defiance and flair.

Jack said: “Welcome Home was the one when after we first played it all the way through, we looked around at each other in a different way. Like we didn’t know we had it in us. It means business that one. There’s no way you can play it without your heart and soul fully in it.”

The school friends have come a long way since stepping on to the pub circuit but still deliver honest British guitar music and indie rock’n’roll played straight from the heart to their audience wherever they go. Ryan said: “The thing is, I can understand as much as anyone right now why there’s been a lull in proper guitar tunes.

“People have been waiting for something bigger to come along. When there’s a lull it made me want it more and fuelled the hunger for it.”
