A cutting-edge fertility clinic is celebrating the birth of its first babies since opening last year.

Newlife, based in The Parade in Epsom town centre, welcomed the births of twins Evie and Charlie Symes at Epsom Hospital on April 18.

The twins were born to Emma and Daniel Symes who live in Horton, Epsom, and had been trying to conceive since marrying in 2008.

They began treatment at Newlife in August last year, with Mrs Symes becoming pregnant after undergoing her first round of IVF.

She said: "After three and a half years of trying for a baby and a lot of heartache, Daniel and I went to see the team at Newlife.

"We were immediately impressed with the facilities and expertise right on our doorstep - which made it incredibly easy for us on a practical level to undergo treatment.

"Although I was slightly shocked, I was absolutely delighted to be carrying twins."

Newlife says it offers couples the latest technology and expertise to help them manage a range of conditions related to fertility, miscarriages, pregnancy and general gynaecology.

Amin Gafar, centre director, said: "We were thrilled to be able to help Emma and Daniel start a family after a number of years of trying unsuccessfully.

"Since the clinic opened its doors in August 2011 we have had a number of other successful pregnancies, with Evie and Charlie being our first births.

"I look forward to helping more couples realise their dream of having a family."
