An author who only started writing following a bet with a friend, signed copies of his first book in Waterstones Croydon last week.
Joseph Sultana wrote his book Unsceptred Isle- Three of a Kind, after ridiculing a friend on how easy it would be to write a 10,000 dissertation.
Despite losing the bet to write 10,000 words in a month, the 49-year-old continued writing and self-published the novel as an e-Book before it was picked up by Percy Publishing.
Mr Sultana is now concentrating on the second book in the series of three, which will be submitted to Percy Publishing for consideration in September 2012.
