I would just like to thank, through your letters page, the kind person who handed in my mobile phone which I lost at The Walton on the Hill Pageant on Saturday, May 19.
Sitting down to watch the parade, my phone must have fallen out of my pocket.
I didn't notice until later and felt quite sick that I had lost it, pessimistically thinking it would remain so.
However, after a frantic and fruitless search, I went to the officials' tent to ask them to make an announcement and lo and behold there was my phone, handed in earlier.
I can't tell you the relief I felt!
So a huge thank you to the person who found it - for their honesty and for making me realise the importance of backing up my phone and downloading precious photos too, I am forever grateful - thank you!
