Hundreds turned out for a three-day flower festival revived after a 25 year absence.
The Shirley Flower Festival, at St John’s Evangelist Church, attracted close to 1000 visitors between Friday May 18 and Sunday May 20, with guests enjoying elaborate displays and a wide selection of music from community groups.
Janet Martin, who organised the music programme, said: "The festival was absolutely fantastic. The church looked beautiful and the music complimented it. It was a real community event."
Stalls selling local produce and Fairtrade items helped collect more than £5,000 towards the church upkeep.
