A Putney High School girl is set to perform for The Queen and a number of high-profile Royals for her Diamond Jubilee.
Eleanor Tsoukkas, from Southfields, is to play for the Her Majesty on June 5 with the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain (NCO).
The 13-year-old, who has played the cello for five years and belongs to the NCO’s Main Orchestra, is to perform for The Queen and 700 guests at Westminster Hall.
Also attending the lunch will be The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
Miss Tsoukkas said: "I can’t wait to play for the Queen; it will be an incredible experience and such an honour.
"It will be made even better by the fact that I have all my friends from the NCO around me to share in the day."
The NCO’s Main Orchestra, which numbers over 100 talented young musicians aged 12-14 years, are to perform a programme of light classical music under the baton of Roger Clarkson, NCO’s principal director of music.
Mr Clarkson said: "There are more than 100 supremely talented young musicians in our main orchestra, and I’m sure that each and every one will be wearing the biggest smile you’ve ever seen."
Since the founding of the NCO 34 years ago, a significant number of its members have achieved soloist or conductor status or have become recording artists.
