I am horrified as to what happened last week.
We saw children come equipped with banners and flags that had been made and went patiently along with others, including my family, to watch the Queen pass through Cedars Avenue, on the way to St Marks Academy.
We were waiting from before 11.30am to 12.30pm and nothing happened. We were handed flags to wave from a person who worked for Merton Council. What for? Nothing.
Everyone was cold watching and disappointed that nothing materialised. How disappointing was that.
After an hour the children walked back to school. What a waste of time.
Perhaps the Queen should be informed how upset the children were.
