A blue badge abuser was bang to rights after being shown video footage in court of his parking misdemeanours.

Kantilal Tosar was caught driving from his home in Sutton and parking outside his work in Tooting using his mothers blue badge.

While Mr Tosar's elderly and disabled mother sat at home, he was claiming free all-day parking outside his workplace.

After being caught and watching his car being towed away, Mr Tosar appealed to the parking adjudicator to say officials had acted unlawfully in doing so.

Tosar had claimed his disabled mother was with him at all times, but when he was shown a video in Richmond Magistrates Court on May 10, he soon changed his tune.

The mechanic dropped his appeal and admitted the charges and was fined £1,068 in fines and court costs.
