Gardeners are sharpening their secateurs ahead of the launch of this year's Sutton In Bloom.
The Sutton Guardian-sponsored annual competition sees green fingered residents and schoolchildren pit their gardening skills and plants against one another.
Mayor of Sutton Gerry Jerome will be joined at Sutton Community Farm in Wallington by pupils from St Dunstan's Primary School, which won last year's Best School Garden, and volunteers from Sutton Community Farm who will be packing vegetable bags for customers.
Categories include Best Front Garden, Best Community Garden, Best Business Frontage, Best Allotment Garden and Best Wildlife Garden.
Winners receive vouchers and certificates, and the honour of having the best garden in the whole of the borough.
