Festival fever is set to hit a Clapham Junction pub later this month.

The Plough will host a weekend of events from May 17 to 20 to mark the beginning of the festival season.

Dubbed the Plough Festival, the event will see the Battersea venue transform the Anglo-American décor into an indoor camping and festival stomping ground, complete with grass underfoot.

Live bands, festival bingo, a teepee ‘love tent’ DJ booth as well as special festival food and drink, the launch of The Plough’s unique cocktail menu, plus free entry, will mark the start of the festival season.

Music will be on offer throughout the weekend, including indie rockers Strangefruit and all-girl DJ duo The Dolly Rockers on Saturday.

On Sunday, Clapham jazz performer Josie Florence will soothe sore heads with her soulful sounds and Motown classics.

Plus, there will be a festival bingo competition, when revelers can win two VIP tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival (Worth £750 – supplied by Strongbow) and tickets to V Festival supplied by festival cocktail sponsor Bacardi.
