I refer to your article (‘Homeless banned after living in car park’).
These two people are, according to the article, suffering from mental health problems which, I could imagine, can only be exacerbated by their homelessness.
A police spokesman said: “Excellent team work – huge thanks to all involved.”
A Merton council spokesman said: “The eviction is the result of successful partnership between the council, police and the courts.”
I find it shameful that the police, the council and the four complainants think that sweeping two impoverished and homeless people (with mental health issues) off a car park, is regarded as a success.
Is this Margaret Thatcher’s care in the community or David Cameron’s big society’?
