Hundreds of people came together at the weekend (April 29) to attend a centenary service for a Tadworth church.
The service was held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in The Avenue, Tadworth, and was celebrated by Reverend Christopher Chessun.
The Bishop of Southwark, the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, Dame Sarah Goad, and the mayor of Reigate, Councillor Brian Steed, were all in attendance.
The choir at the service, led by Robert Stewart, was supplemented by 20 past choristers who have moved away from the village. After the service, the Bishop of Southwark was invited to cut the centenary cake and the congregation moved into the church hall for a buffet lunch.
