A hospice is appealing for volunteer drivers to help patients who are treated in their own homes.
Trinity Hospice, in Clapham Common, provides end of life care to people at home and in its inpatient centre Mulberry Place.
The hospice treats 80 per cent of patients within their own homes, who prefer to stay where they are comfortable.
Drivers are need to transport community nurses to care for patients in their own homes.
Annie Hooper, chief executive at Trinity said: "Drivers are vital to Mulberry Place because without them many patients may miss out on important aspects of care.
"It’s all about helping them remain in their own homes, if possible, while enabling access to the activities and therapies that come with a visit to Mulberry Place."
Drivers can volunteer a few hours or more.
