Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman bears no ill will toward Cardiff City ahead of the two clubs meeting this Saturday.

The Bluebirds knocked the Eagles out of the Carling Cup on penalties in the semi-final in January after the two sides ended the two legs locked together at 1-1 on aggregate.

While the final game of the season holds little importance for Palace other than pride, Cardiff know a win will guarantee them a spot in the play-offs - something some Palace fans would like to deny them after the cup defeat.

But Freedman insists that is all behind them.

"There is no unfinished business with Cardiff as we came out of the cup semi final with a lot of credibility," he said.

"It got good exposure for the club and was good experience for the players and this is a good game for us to end the season on.

"I am looking forward to it as I have been very pleased in recent weeks.

"I understand the results have not been the way they were for the first three or four months but there is a plan.

"I am looking at lots of young players and sometimes the results are not quite going for us but Southampton was a good game for us and we played very well at Reading.

"In a strange way I am pleased as we have got a lot of youngsters playing and come Saturday there will be a lot of youngsters again."
