A Weybridge teenager has won a national competition and a three-week adventure trip to South Africa.
James Bamforth, 17, was one of nine selected from 20,000 young people earning extra-curricular qualifications with educational charity CVQO.
He completed a gruelling 36-hour assessment in Somerset to win his trip to South Africa.
The army cadet is also in the running for a Duke of Westminster Award, which recognises the country’s finest cadets.
