More than 200 people packed a community centre this week for their third annual ukulele festival.

Top ukulele acts Simon Prager, Jo Stephenson, Dan Woods and Colliers Wood's very own International Ukelele Orchestra performed for crowds at Colliers Wood Community Centre on Saturday, April 21.

Derek Lomas, who organised the festival, said: "It's extraordinary how such a small instrument can give so much pleasure to so many".

The event marked the start of the first ever Colliers Wood Spring Arts Festival which runs from Saturday, April 21 to May 12.

The festival will include African drumming sessions, a short story competition, a cabaret night, pop up art gallery and more.
