Following the huge success of their concert at Royal Russell School last October, award-winning Croydon singer, Nikita Bazil, and concert pianist Panos Karan, are once again sharing the stage, this time at the prestigious central London venue of the Royal College of Music on Thursday April 26th.

17 year old Nikita attends Royal Russell School and is a gifted Music Scholar. Nikita has enjoyed a highly successful year, with her achievements rewarded by a scholarship four years in succession, allowing her to attend the highly prestigious European Youth Summer Music course. Additionally, Nikita has been awarded numerous music awards in recent years, including The Croydon Mayor’s Cup.

Nikita will be performing alongside Panos Karan, a well known and widely appreciated pianist, who made his professional debut at the Southbank Centre at the age of 19. Although he has gone on to perform in concert halls all over the world, including in Carnegie Hall in New York, Panos is also dedicated to playing to new and underprivileged audiences, including in remote communities in the Amazon rainforest and villages in Sierra Leone.

The concert is being held to raise money for the Condor Trust for Education, a charity run by Croydon resident Chris Patrick, which enables children from poor families in Ecuador, South America, to attend secondary school.

Cont/ “I feel privileged to be sharing a platform with such a renowned musician as Panos Karan” said Nikita, “and am absolutely delighted to be able to help the Condor Trust to give children in Ecuador a chance to go to secondary school.”

The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday April 26th, in the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall at the Royal College of Music, Prince Consort Road, London SW7 2BS.
