Waterloo Road in Epsom town centre will be closed from Sunday April 15 for two weeks.
The road will shut to allow essential work installing drainage and services for the new Epsom station development.
Waterloo Road, from its junction with Station Approach to the northern side of the railway bridge, will be closed to all vehicles.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians, emergency vehicles and residents at all times.
Southbound traffic wishing to access car parking will be diverted via Waterloo Road (C195), Chase Road (C195), Hook Road (B284), East Street (A24) and High Street (A24).
General southbound traffic will be diverted via Waterloo Road (C195), Chase Road (C195), Hook Road (B284), East Street (A24), High Street (A24), Ashley Avenue (A24), South Street (A24) and High Street (A24).
Diversion signs will be in operation to direct motorists.
