An Epsom man was taken to hospital with serious chest injuries after a car crash in which a woman died on Sunday.

The 60-year-old man was the driver of a a VW Golf, which collided with a Honda Accord on the A24 near Warnham at about 11.30am, the BBC has reported.

The Honda Accord contained six passengers, all of the same family from Pimlico in London.

A 56-year-old woman in the car died, an 18-month girl was critically injured and two toddlers and two adults in the car were seriously hurt.

The 58-year-old female passenger of the VW Golf, also from Epsom, was treated for whiplash injuries.
