A 47-year-old man has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a lorry in Wandsworth this morning.
The man is thought to have been crossing the road when the incident occurred. Police have closed a section of Wandsworth High Street close to the junction of Fairfield Street.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said the extent of the man's injuries were not yet known, but added he had been taken to St George's Hospital by an ambulance "on blue lights".
She said: "We were called just before 10.10am to the High Street to reports of a road traffic accident involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
"We sent two ambulance crews, a single responder in a car, a duty manager and also the London air ambulance.
"Our staff treated one patient - a 47-year-old man. He was treated at the scene and then taken to St George's Hospital."
No one from Wandsworth police was available for comment.
