School girl killed by car in New Addington

A 14-year-old girl has been killed after being hit by a car in New Addington.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the incident on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision in Headley Drive, New Addington.
A silver car was in collision with the 14-year-old girl before stopping at the scene.
The girl was taken to Kings College Hospital were she died at 12.20am this morning.
The driver, a 35 year old man, remains in custody at a south London police station.
A post-mortem has yet to be scheduled - it may be held on Monday.
Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit at Catford are investigating the incident.
