This cheerful bunch are some of this year’s brightest secondary school graduates in the borough.

The students, from nine different schools, were invited to a ceremony at the Town Hall recently to be congratulated on their fantastic A level results.

This year the borough’s results improved again, with 74.7 per cent of results graded of A-C, up from 71.5 per cent last year.

Wandsworth’s 3.2 percentage point improvement is well ahead of the national average, which rose by just 1.2.

Councillor Kathy Tracey, executive member for children and young people's services, said: “Our excellent schools and hard-working pupils thoroughly deserve the plaudits for this terrific achievement.

“We will continue to strive for further improvements to help even more local young people to make achieve their potential.”
