A host of activities to bring communities together will take place during Lambeth Peace Week, which runs from September 19 to 26.
One highlight is a special ‘question time’ session, where a group of the borough’s young people will put their questions to a panel including the bourough’s chief executive and police commander.
The celebration will also see the launch of the Lambeth Peace Awards, with special prizes for individuals who have helped their community and for young people who have improved life in the borough. Nominations close on October 9 - suggestions should be emailed to activecommunities@lambeth.gov.uk.
Streatham Wells safer neighbourhood team (SNT) will be welcoming visitors to their mobile unit at Valley Road Playing Field on the 21st, Albert Carr Gardens on the 22nd, the Sackville Estate on the 23rd and Mount Earl Gardens on the 24th.
Streatham South SNT will hold an event in Bates Crescent on the evening of the 26th.
Residents can use the visits to meet their police teams and learn more about the work they do. For more information about peace week go to lambeth/gov.uk/saferlambeth.
