The German chef accused of killing his wife and dumping her decomposed body in a wheelie bin, before leaving for Malta, is set to appear at the Old Bailey next week.
Unemployed Peter Wallner, 33, will be asked by the judge to enter a plea to the murder charge.
He is accused of killing Melanie between Tuesday, August 1, 2006 and June 1, 2009, at their home in Hamilton Avenue, Cobham.
Her body was found upside down inside a green recycling bin outside their home on Saturday, June 6.
He is also accused of unlawfully preventing her legal burial. His girlfriend Lilia Fenech was arrested on her return from Malta but released without charge on bail after being questioned by Surrey Police.
