Two men were taken to hospital after their cars collided on Purley Way at about midnight.
One of the men had to be cut out of his car because of his injuries before being sent to hospital.
A London Ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12.10am to a road traffic accident on Purley Way at the junction with Trojan Way.
“Two cars were involved. We sent two ambulance crews. Two patients were taken to Mayday Hospital.
“A 34-year-old man had neck pains and a 27-year-old man had head and neck pains.”
A spokesman from the Fire Brigade said: “The two cars involved were a BMW and a Ford Focus. The driver of the Ford Focus had to be cut out of his car because of his injuries.
“We sent four machines to the incident.”
