Two more men will appear in court charged with the murder of Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto in Thornton Heath.

Michael was stabbed to death in Mayfield Crescent in Thornton Heath at 10.30pm on Tuesday, December 19.

Omari Peat, 22, of Southampton Gardens, Mitcham, was arrested on Christmas Eve and released on bail.

He was re-arrested on Thursday, January 11 and charged as above.

Zac Dylan Baako, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested on Thursday January 11 and charged.

Both are due to appear at a magistrates' court to be confirmed tomorrow (Saturday).

Michael's family have been informed of this development.

19-year-old John Budal, of Ena Road, SW16, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Saturday, December 30 charged with murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.

He appeared again at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, January 3 – police await details of his next court appearance.

The investigation into the murder of 27-year-old Michael remains ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “[A] Omari Peat, 22 (01.03.01), of Southampton Gardens, Mitcham, was arrested on 24 December and released on bail. He was re-arrested on Thursday, 11 January and charged as above.

“[C] Zac Dylan Baako, 28 (06.08.95), of no fixed address, was arrested on Thursday 11 January and charged as above.

“Both are due to appear at a magistrates' court to be confirmed on Saturday, 13 January.

“Michael's family have been informed of this development.

“Another man [B] John Budal, 19 (07.03.04) of Ena Road, SW16, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Saturday, 30 December charged with murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.

“He appeared again at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 3 January. We await details of his next court appearance.

“The investigation into the murder of 27-year-old Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto remains ongoing. Michael was found with fatal stab wounds in Mayfield Crescent in Thornton Heath at around 22:30hrs on Tuesday, 19 December.”
