Police are appealing for witnesses following a sexual offence in a bar in Epsom.

The sexual offence took place sometime between 11pm and 11:50pm on December 23 at McCafferty's Bar in Epsom.

Security staff were informed that a man had been touching women inappropriately and he was removed from the building.

The man has been described by police as white, medium build, with dark hair tied into a ponytail, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time the incident took place.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A statement on the Epsom and Ewell Beat (Surrey Police) Facebook page read: “We are appealing for witnesses following a sexual offence by touching that took place last Saturday (23 December) between 11pm and 11.50pm, at McCafferty’s Bar in Epsom.

“Security at the bar were informed that a man had been touching women in an inappropriate way, and after investigating they evicted the man from the property.

“The man is described as white, of a medium build and with dark hair tied back into a braided ponytail.

“He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area or have any further information around the incident to contact us.
