There’s good news those who want to enjoy a drink or outing on Christmas Day as some pubs in Croydon will still be open.

While many pubs typically close their doors, a select few will be open to serve to those who wish to savour a drink outside their homes on Christmas Day.

So we have made a list of the pubs open in Croydon that will be welcoming customers on December 25.

The Market Tavern

The Market Tavern on 1-4 Surrey Street is a pub with karaoke, bar games, and an opening on Christmas Day.

They will be serving Christmas drinks as well as a five-course meal, beginning with canapes, and a traditional hot drink and mince pie to end with.

One happy reviewer said: “The Christmas menu is good.

“We ordered the festive burger meal and the hot burger.

“Cooked well.

“Cheese and chilli melt and tandoori chicken wings.

“Delicious.

“Great service and the karaoke were entertaining!”

The pub will be open all day on Christmas Day from 11am to 11pm.

The Crown and Sceptre

The Crown and Sceptre on 32 Junction Road will be opened on Christmas Day serving a quick drink for customers.

Unlike others, they will continue their usual serving of drinks, with a few festive bits thrown in.

This place is a great pub to come for a quiet Christmas drink, as said by one reviewer.

They said: “I felt like a quiet Christmas drink and went to this pub.

“It was nice and quiet and not too extravagant and just great all over for us introverts.”

The Crown and Sceptre will have a brief opening on Christmas Day, from 12pm to 2:30pm.

The Tree House

The Tree House on 78 South End will open its doors during the evening of Christmas Day.

They will be serving guests with a special Christmas Day three-course menu and a free glass of prosecco for guests upon arrival.

One content customer said: “Great night celebrating Christmas.

“The service was brilliant and very quick.

“The staff were very attentive; the ambience was very festive and fun.”

The Tree House will be open from 4pm to 10:30pm.
