Police are investigating a “violent incident” after two men were seen armed with baseball bats in Epsom and a victim was seen limping away.

The incident occurred on Cox Lane at around 9pm December 15.

Officers say that two men armed with baseball bats were involved in a “violent incident” at around 9pm, and a person was seen limping away from the scene.

A blue Ford Fiesta and a moped also crashed during the incident.

Police potentially believe the incident to be linked to prior threats made at a different Epsom address at around 7.30pm.

Officers are urging any witnesses with information, dash-cam, or doorbell footage to get in touch, quoting reference PR/4523014274, or to call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police would also like to check on the welfare of the injured.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Were you in or around Cox Lane, #Epsom, on Friday evening (15 December)?

“Detectives are investigating a violent incident that occurred at around 9pm involving two people armed with what appeared to be baseball bats.

“Someone was seen limping away afterwards and has not yet been identified.

“A blue Ford Fiesta and a moped were also involved in a collision during the incident.

“Detectives believe this could relate to an earlier incident at around 7:30pm when some men attended another address in Epsom and threatened the occupants.
