A delivery driver has been knocked over by a thief who stole their van and the parcels inside in Tadworth.

The driver was approached by the suspect who allegedly swiped the keys and then took off in the vehicle on Bidhams Crescent at around 3pm, October 3.

The thief in the stolen van then is alleged to have knocked over the victim - they were not seriously injured and are now receiving support from officers.

The stolen van, which was filled with parcels and personal items, was found later in Epsom but it is unclear how much was taken from the back of the vehicle.

Officers believe that the van's dashcam was tossed along the route and explained that it may contain evidence that could help with the investigation.

Locals are being asked to look out for the discarded dashcam and to contact police if they find it.

Police are asking anyone who was travelling in the area who may have captured footage or who has further information to contact police, quoting PR/45230111746.
