Two dealers who were distributing drugs in the Merton borough have been jailed.

The duo were arrested on February 10, 2022 on suspicion of being concerned in drug supply at their separate homes which were later raided by police.

Officers found “significant property” linking them to the offences.

They were sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on November 16, 2022 Sunil Alleyne, 22, of Sutton has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison.

Nico Georgiou, 25, of Croydon has been sentenced to four years and four months in prison.

Detective Constable Laura Sheldrake, of the South West Command Unit, said: “We are dedicated to dealing with criminality associated with drug dealing.

“This was a complex case, where we have worked relentlessly to disrupt these two males from supplying drugs into the streets of London.

“Drug distribution has devastating effects on communities, it also fuels further violence and criminality.

The two males have been rightfully held accountable for their actions and the dangerous substances taken off the streets.”

A spokesperson for Merton Police said: “#Sentenced | Two Males have been jailed for concern in drug supply in the South West borough of Merton.

“Sunil Alleyne (22) of Sutton has been sentenced to 3 years and 4 months imprisonment.

“Nico Georgiou (25) of Croydon has been sentenced to 4 years and 4 months imprisonment.

“Both males were arrested on 10th February 2022 for being concerned with drug supply at their seperate home addresses.

“Drugs warrants were carried out at both addresses following the arrest.

“Significant property was found linking them to these offences.

“The males appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on the 11th February 2022 and were sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on 16th November 2022.”
