When Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman got back on their bikes for BBC series Long Way Down, they turned to clinical specialists in Wimbledon for support.
The Technology in Motion centre in Arthur Road, run by orthopaedic company Össur, fitted the intrepid duo with custom knee-braces, to prepare them for the rigors of the road.
The braces were even fitted with Scottish and English flags to remind Ewan and Charley of home.
James Woodgates, business manager for Össur's Technology in Motion centres, said: "The guys were very impressed with the braces. When you're taking on such a tough journey, the knee-joints can take some real punishment - so extra protection is a must."
The new series sees the pair take on one of the world's toughest overland motor journeys - starting at John O'Groats and stretching 15,000 miles south through the African continent.
