A BUSINESS venture launched by two partners to help people work closer to home is starting to really take off.
Business Gazette reported in March how Kendal architect Richard Oates and Mick Hoffe, a business coach and production engineer, had started making self-contained offices and studios that could fit into people's back gardens.
Six months later and the business, zencabins.co.uk, has completed three offices and is about to start work on a fourth building, with more orders in the pipeline.
Interest in zencabins is growing, with the business fielding inquiries from as afield as Scotland and London, as well as America and Canada.
The business partners, who have been making the cabins at a small workshop at Sedbergh, are now looking for larger production premises, and hope to take on extra staff.
