A Kingston group which supports kids with autism has been recognised for its hard work.
Express CIC provides therapy for young people, support groups and counselling for parents, as well as running regular awareness raising events.
The group has now been nominated for a 'national diversity award' and its co-director Tracey Gaggiotti was delighted by the honour.
"We are excited and proud to have received this nomination," she said.
"It means so much to us that local people recognise the value of the services we provide for young people with autism in the borough.”
Express was nominated in the category of community organisations that support people with a disability.
The group was started six years ago by Ms Gaggiotti and another local mum Annette Williams and has so far helped hundreds of people.
One parent who has benefited from the service said: "Tracey and Annette work tirelessly to engage, inform and connect those with autism and their families.”
Another said the group is "an essential resource for local families."
"They have made a real difference to our situation and we are very grateful for their hard work."
