A carpenter's puppy has been stolen from his van in Wandsworth.

Bella, an eight month old Boston Terrier was taken from her owner’s Volkswagen van on Friday, May 25.

Her owner George Mills has recently been renovating a house in St Ann’s Hill, Wandsworth.

He lives in Carshalton and takes Bella to work with him every day where she usually goes inside the houses with him.

However, while working inside the Wandsworth house on Friday he left the dog sitting in the front of his van because he was working on a particular job that she couldn’t be inside for.

George, 29, believes Bella was stolen between 12pm and 2pm, with tools also being taken from his van including a £2,000 power saw.

The family distributed 400 posters in Wandsworth over the bank holiday weekend and knocked on house doors in St Ann’s Hill to see if anyone has CCTV but have received little response.

They have also advertised her disappearance on various lost dogs websites including DogLost as well as sharing it on Facebook.

He got Bella, who is lilac with brown patches with big bold eyes, after moving out of the family home in Wimbledon.

Tanya Benson, George’s mother said: “The family are all devastated by Bella not being with us and we are desperately wishing her home where she belongs.”

The police are treating the dog as stolen and are investigating the incident.
