A cancer charity will be hosting a free cancer support course in Kingston.
Penny Brohn UK’s two-day Living Well course for people with cancer and those close to them will take place at Kingston Hospital, Galsworthy Road, on February 23 and March 2.
The course addresses cancer’s physical and psychological impact and shows how healthy eating, exercise and relaxation can improve health and wellbeing, before, during and after medical treatment.
Living Well development manager Supriya More said: “Cancer can be overwhelming, but many small things can add up to make a big difference to the way people cope as they prepare for, undergo or recover from treatment.
“Our Living Well helps people take back some control of their lives.”
A recent course attendee added: “It’s hard to prioritise your needs when you’re so concerned about someone else.
“I’m glad I went – I feel more able to deal with things now.
The course will take place from 11am-5pm and places are limited.
