Not only have the staff and visitors been getting ready for Halloween at Chessington World of Adventures, but it seems the animals might also be getting into the spirit of things.
Harley the sea lion has begun “howling like a werewolf”, earning himself the nickname Howley from staff.
They say he even looks toward the moon when he does it, in full commitment to the resort’s seasonal theme.
Senior aquarist Kirsty Tugwood said: "Harley is our largest and friendliest sea lion on the Park, and he's never made a howling noise before. We were all shocked to hear him howl for the first time, and it's a little bit spooky that he's only started howling in the lead up to Halloween. We think he could've been copying some guests visiting the Park but we don’t know for sure.
"This Halloween is set to be the spookiest yet, so Howley will certainly add to the chilling atmosphere at the resort.”
The resort is open until 8pm until October 31; to find out more about the seasonal attractions visit chessington.com/halloween.
