As many as 300 motorbikes will drive from Mitcham to Lower Morden this Friday to give a touching send-off to Harley enthusiast.
Retired fireman and bike lover Ken Priss passed away last month. He had served in the fire brigade in Tooting and Mitcham and was also a member of motorcycling club Amoc.
Gary Nokes, a friend of Ken's who is organising the funeral, said: "I have known Ken since I moved to Mitcham in 1997.
"We became best mates through our mutal love of motorcycles it's what brought us together. He is a brother from a different mother."
Enthusiasts on around 300 Harley Davidsons will meet at 8am at Mitcham Common Undertakers (Co-op Funeralcare) and will follow the hearse from Morrisons for a 8.30am departure on to the Lower Modern Crematorium, in Lower Morden Lane, where there will be a London Fire Brigade guard of honour.
Amoc was started in 1994 by a group of bikers and have three chapters: one each in Surrey, Sussex and North Surrey.
Mr Nokes said: "Ken and I were members of Surrey first, then later moved to the North Surrey Chapter."
The wake will be at the Old Beverley pub.
