Broadcasting legend Sir Michael Parkinson will be celebrating some of the defining moments of his life and career at the Rose Theatre in Kingston.

As part of a national tour, Sir Michael will be joined in conversation by his son Mike and will show highlights from the Parkinson archive.

An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson will be in Kingston on September 11, aimed to provide a unique opportunity for an intimate and entertaining look at his journey from a Yorkshire mining town to becoming one of the most familiar faces on television.

In a career spanning several decades, Sir Michael was responsible for interviewing over 2,000 of the most important figures of our time, including Nelson Mandela, Marlon Brando and Mohammed Ali.

The show will highlight some of the iconic moments, including famous awkward situations as well as emotional revelations, and also turn the spotlight on the man himself, his personality and his relationships.
