A vicious attack by three broom-wielding thugs in Cheam has left a man blinded in his right eye.
The 39-year-old was walking on Church Hill Road at 1.50am on May 27 when he was followed by three young men.
When they reached him, they hit him several times in the face with a broom.
He sustained multiple fractures to his face and has lost the sight in his right eye. He may still lose his eye.
Detectives have released CCTV footage of three males walking alongside the victim in an alleyway off Church Hill Road just before the attack, and then running back down the alleyway just over a minute later.
Anyone who recognises the three males, or who may have information about the attack, is asked to call Sutton CID via 101. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
