An event to keep young people active during the long summer holidays is coming up next week.

Battersea Summer Scheme brings you Sport in the Park, an activity filled four-day event for young people aged eight to 16.

Held from Tuesday, August 1, to Friday, it enables participants to experience a whole range of sporting and entertaining activities including judo, tennis, football, dance, archery and even the trapeze.

On top of this, there will be a climbing wall and high ropes course, plus the Animal People will be there with some furry friends as well as an aerial display from some amazing birds of prey.

Other activities include circus skills, trapeze, crazy golf as well as arts, music, fashion, dance, Zumba and yoga.

The scheme is held at Battersea Park’s Millennium Arena and adjacent field between 11.30am and 4.30pm daily.

Entry is £1 per day and there is no need to book a place.

Battersea Summer Scheme is a principal project of Battersea Crime Prevention Panel.

This year, the scheme is being funded by the Battersea Power Station Foundation.
