Test drives of electrical cars will be available this Saturday
The chance to take a free test drive in an electric car is coming to Wimbledon this weekend.
Two cars are being made available as part of Merton Council's ambition to promote eco-friendly vehicles.
Cars can be picked up and driven to any compatible Source London bay across the city between 11am and 2pm on Saturday (July 15).
The council said that electric cars that are charged fully can drive for 150 miles on renewable energy.
A year’s free membership for Merton’s new electric car club is being offered.
Merton residents can subscribe on blue-city.co.uk and using the code EARLYBIRD10 will get you a free year’s membership.
The cost is £5 per month with 10 hours of driving being permitted.
