BMX riders rejoice.
Construction on a new BMX pump track in Croydon is set to start early this month.
With construction due to take roughly seven weeks, riders could be tearing it up by September.
The Croydon BMX Club will be set up over the summer and will operate from the pavilion where Croydon amateur boxing club are also located between Norbury Avenue and Green Lane.
There will be a number of BMX bikes available for use by the club. New cycle stands are also to be installed at both ends of the pavilion to encourage park visitors to cycle to site.
Overall, the new facilities will include playing fields, multi-games courts, changing rooms, toilets, a car park and a children's playground opposite Norbury Hill entrance in Green Lane.
